- “You’re up a bit early.” Angelika said.
- “Ah yes, last night’s sleep was quite good and so I am refreshed now to perform my duty.”
- “It’s Saturday, Kenny. You don’t need to do any duty today.”
- “I always have some duty.”
- “What’s wrong? You seem kinda ecstatic today.”
- “Well, how to put this? I overheard you and that archangel talking, so I want to really help you out within this last day of your stay.”
- “Ah I see. I was going to tell you about that. But OK, in that case I’ve been thinking of what we can do and I am yet to find an answer. I just think we should concentrate on the fallen now.”
- “Sounds like a good idea.” Kenny said, “I was also thinking and I’ve decided that I want to write a book about this. I will put into it everything that you’ve taught me and hope that at least one person learns something from that book.”
- “Looks like you got it now. I am glad that my mission here proved to be useful. It doesn’t matter how big the change you make, so long as at least one person is affected in a good way then you’ve done a great job, because then that person will affect someone else and so on so forth.”
- “It will be a challenge to write that book because I’ve never written one, but I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with others.”
- “Good, I am glad that I picked you of all the people.”
- “Thanks. Anyways, how are we going to find the fallen within today? He masks himself easily.” Kenny asked.
- “I can try going around the city and see if I can sense him. I usually sense a dirty dark presence when he’s around.”
- “Be careful, he can ambush you.”
- “I’m sure I’ll be all right. Besides even if something happens to me, I have you to continue my mission onwards.”
- “That is true.”
The two of them then went into the living room. Kenny had some breakfast there and Angelika had a cup of tea. They carried on their conversation.
- “The archangel said something about your dominion not being satisfied with your mission. What’s that all about?” Kenny asked.
- “Ah well it’s an angel that controls what I and some other angels do. I convinced him that I can make a difference, but looks like he doesn’t see that.” Angelika explained.
- “I’m sure he will once the chain reaction will follow streaming from your actions.” Kenny reassured her.
- “Thanks Kenny. You’re a good person and I was right to choose you.”
At that moment Kenny’s phone rang. He went over and picked it up. It was Sandra calling. She wanted to tell Kenny about their outing today to a restaurant. She already seemed to have taken care of everything. Kenny was going to reschedule for tomorrow so he could spend today helping Angelika, but Angelika already knew what was happening and so gave Kenny a sign that it’s all right. Kenny then thanked Sandra and agreed to meet her at the appointed time – 3 in the afternoon.
- “You sure about this?” Kenny asked Angelika, “I mean I want to help you.”
- “Don’t worry about this. If fallen comes after you then I’ll get him. If not then I’ll find him manually.” Angelika said.
- “All right, so is this our final plan then?”
- “Yes it is. Everything will be all right. Trust me on this.” Angelika said confidently.
- “Well I guess I wish you best of luck and…”
- “We angels do not abide by luck, but thanks anyway. I’m sure you meant that you hoped the events will happen the way they’re supposed to.”
- “Yes of course. Luck is simply a term a lot of people use when they hope that they’re dealt the right cards.” Kenny explained his view.
- “Well in that case I might see you later today, but if something happens to me then it was a pleasure knowing you and I’ll see you again someday.”
- “I am glad that you came into my life Angelika.” Kenny said, “You’ve changed it for the best.”
Kenny gave Angelika a hug and then she left his house in search of the fallen. Kenny then had some time to think things through and then to get ready for meeting with Sandra.
Messages from this chapter:
-This chapter emphasises one of the previous points – it doesn’t matter how big is the change, if at least it changed the life of one person for the better, then it’s an achievement
-Luck is simply a term a lot of people use when they hope that they’re dealt the right cards, the good ones.
